Frequently Asked Questions

Will I cluck like a chicken?
Only if you want too.  Many have the misconception that hypnotherapy is the same as stage hypnosis wherein a person is at the discretion of a professional performer.  The truth is that hypnosis is a state of higher awareness achieved by allowing the conscious/analytical mind to temporarily be on vacation. While in a hypnotic trance, senses are sharper you control how and what you want to answer to.  You can choose to change/experience anything keeping in mind that there is NO possible way a suggestion can be accepted if it does not agree with a persons belief system or moral orientation.

Will I be unconscious?
No, while some may experience a sense of zoning in and out. Most recall every word that was said. If you think you may be one to zone ask your hypnotherapist to give you the suggestion that you will remember everything; and you will.

How do I know I've been hypnotized?
Many are unable to tell a difference between hypnosis, and deep relaxation. A light state of hypnosis is experienced by many people daily by being absorbed by a good movie or book. What can be measured is how differently a person handles a future situation that has been worked on during a session.

How does hypnosis help me move forward in my life?
Hypnosis can be looked at as a bridge that gently allows access to your subconscious mind (the area in your mind that developed beliefs and habits between the ages of 0 and 8, and stores all events up to present moment). This achieved by choosing to allow the conscious/analytical mind to relax. Creating direct access to the subconscious mind; here informing the subconscious the truth of the here and now as an adult. Changes are made as the perception is changed and new habits are made to take effect, sometimes immediately.

Self Confidence/ Motivation

Wanting to move forward but find yourself consistently doing other things instead? (cleaning the house, organizing the desk rather then finishing that report or starting that new business.) The reasoning could be as simple as something someone may have said to you that created such an impact that Fear now plays a contributing factor. Hypnosis allows access to the ISE (Initial Sensitizing Event)  Allowing one to make change.

Regression

Regression is the process of stepping back in time to events that may be causing the barriers of achieving the goals of today. As mentioned earlier the majority of the habits and beliefs we have today were created as children from ages 0 to 8. Many of those habits are now outdated by using regression one is able to access the original event to educate the desire of change.
